Here are example phrases of nearly all voice commands that you can speak to Alexa when using Email Pro, and an explanation of what they do. Please note that these phrases are interpreted by Email Pro as commands, so you cannot speak these phrases at the beginning of a line when replying to a message.

Yes, Email Pro can send email replies.
The main challenge with sending voice-controlled email is obtaining the recipient's email address. It is virtually impossible to communicate an accurate email address using Alexa (or any speech-to-text technology, for that matter).
When replying to a message, the sender's email address is known, so there is no need to obtain the email address by voice.
That being said, we do actually have a solution "on the drawing board" to send new messages in a future update. Stay tuned!
Also, replying by voice is only available to Email Pro paid members.

NO, absolutely NOT.
Our servers never actually "see" your email content per se, nor do we save any email content on our servers. Email Pro connects to your IMAP server, and gets the current folder summary (number of messages, and how many unread). When you ask Email Pro to read a message, the IMAP server sends the message to Email Pro, which then strips out everything but the plain text, and sends it back to Amazon's server. No part of the actual email text is ever saved to disk on our server, nor do we gather any form of statistics. Email Pro simply "catches and throws" the email text from your IMAP server to Amazon's Alexa server.

The short answer is, yes, IF you have the technical knowledge to change your security settings in Gmail first. Google "frowns" upon using IMAP with Gmail, so they require relaxing the security settings on the account for IMAP to work. (We would like to courteously point out that Alexa natively supports Gmail.)
IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT GOOGLE/GMAIL ACCOUNTS!
Google requires you to enable IMAP connections before you can connect to GMail via IMAP. Furthermore, they require email apps (like this one) to implement the OAuth client security protocol. We intend to implement this in the future, but as of today, it is not implemented.
Therefore, to connect to a GMail account, you must:
1) Enable IMAP from within your GMail account.
2) Check the option to let less secure apps access your account.
Our backend technology defaults to SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) for all communication, which is today's defacto standard for secure data exchange. However, we are not responsibile for your email account security. Therefore, the decision to integrate your GMail with Email Pro is entirely your responsibility.
Please see our Terms and Conditions of Use.

The short answer is that NO IMAP CLIENT works well with Outlook/Office365. Microsoft has made it so only their native Outlook and web clients work without performance penalties.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT OUTLOOK.COM ACCOUNTS!
Outlook/Office365 email servers are notoriously slow for email clients using IMAP. Since Email Pro uses IMAP, this makes it seem like Email Pro is having problems, when it is in fact a problem with the Microsoft servers. Details on this issue can be found at these links (among many others):

If you would still like to attempt to connect to a Outlook.com account, you may need to log to Outlook.com with a web browser, then:
1) Go to POP and IMAP settings, and verify that they are enabled.
2) Click here to check the recent activity on your Outlook account, and verify the login attempt.

For those in households who wish to protect their email accounts, this can be done by simply deleting the default settings for account 0000, and then using a different account code for each person's email. (When the default settings are deleted, Email Pro will prompt you to change your account as soon as you launch it.) To jump straight to a particular account, you can use the shortcut phrase "Alexa, open Email Pro and change account to [4-digit code]".
Please note that multiple account support is only available to those who have purchased the Email Pro membership.

We at EKlecticCore.com are security-conscious. Therefore, the user settings for all Email Pro accounts are only ever stored in an encrypted non-human readable format. We use an AES-256-bit encryption algorithm, which is "government-level" encryption. The user settings are never stored on disk by our app in an unencrypted format. Email text itself is never stored on disk....Less...

First, emptying the trash is a premium feature that is only available to those who have purchased an Email Pro membership.
For members, the empty trash command erases all messages in the current folder that are marked as deleted.
IMAP mail servers do not actually delete a message when a user deletes the message. The server simply marks the message as deleted. Some email programs will still display these messages (indicating that they are "deleted" with a line through them, or some other way), but most email programs simply hide these messages from the user, and make a second copy of the message in another folder called Trash, Deleted Items, etc. The original message (marked as deleted) remains on the server until it is "expunged" (the technical term for "emptying the trash"). When you "empty the trash" in your favorite email program, what it typically does is three things: 1) It marks all messages in the Trash folder as deleted, 2) It then "Expunges" the Trash folder (when it actually deletes the messages), and 3) It usually expunges all other folders, as well.
Because Email Pro does not implement its own Trash folder, the "empty trash" command simply expunges the current folder only.
